sennin shugyo: this august event is one of a kind, found only in higashi naruse. it is an event based on traditional mountain training with a buddhist influence. it is however, open to all religions.
jeunesse kurikoma: jeunesse offers year round activities from snowboarding in the winter to paragliding in the summer. located at the base of the ski area is hotel blanc.
oyanagi numa (lakes): these two lakes not only offer ample fishing but the area also provides campsites, hiking, and a playground for children.
sukawa lake: if you come by car, great. nearby is poyoyon auto camp. the lake itself provides canoe rentals, camping, and a trail head for hiking.
